Our Internal Data Usage Review Board
At Synapsys IQ, new proposed data‑use projects undergo a rigorous monthly review through our Ethical Data Usage Review Board. The board brings together a diverse group of experts who ensure that every analytics initiative aligns with our core values and our non‑negotiable commitment: delivering meaningful benefit to the health and social care sector.
The board includes three NHS representatives from varied professional backgrounds, our internal data lead, our NHS secure data environment lead, our NHS liaison, an independent lay member and our CEO. Together, they provide balanced oversight that keeps integrity, transparency, and public value at the centre of everything we do.
Our monthly review meetings follow a purpose designed, externally reviewed assessment template to ensure every relevant question is explored in depth. This structured approach allows us to identify and mitigate any potential bias or risk, giving us full confidence that our work remains compliant with our NHS Data Sharing Agreement. By maintaining this high standard of scrutiny, we ensure our analytical activities are consistently focused on delivering genuine and measurable benefit to the health and social care sector.
